1. "The Roy Jones jr. stance"
He does this occasionally when he wants to counter. Floyd leans forward exposing his face with his left arm is down and his right hand is up and ready to counter. He usually throws one left jab to the body and follow it with a right hook upstairs.

2. "The Shoulder Roller"
This what we often see him do. His chin is tucked under his left shoulder, his right hand above his right side of his head, and his weight is in the back side of his legs. This is his primary defensive mode because he can use his shoulder to absorb punches, he can block with his elbow, he can duck, he can catch punches with his right hand, he can block his body with his left elbow, and he can step back if he wanted to. Floyd usually jabs or throw left hooks during this stance.

3. "The Puncher Style"
This is what we rarely see him do although he did do this throughout the Mosley fight. He comes foward with both hands on the sides of his head and stands toe to toe throwing one or two punches at a time. This is when he's great at tying opponents up and pressuring.

In order to BEAT Floyd Mayweather jr. his opponent must recognize which of the 3 styles Floyd is using. This is the reason why Floyd can "adapt" or "adjust" at almost any fight. Here's my theory on beating Mayweather...

PLAN A: If Mayweather is doing the "Roy Jones" stance, the best way to catch him is with a right hook. Floyd has no defense when he is using this stance because he's left hand his all the way down. However, you can't jab him when he is using the stance because Floyd will counter with his right hand by slipping your jab across his chest.

PLAN B: If Mayweather is doing the "Shoulder Roller", his opponent must faint with the right and throw the left hook. When Floyd is doing his shoulder roll, he always leads with a left hook. This is a perfect time to throw left hooks because Floyd drops his right hand when he throws a left hook. However, you can't throw a right hook because Floyd duck and counter with a left hook.

PLAN C: If Mayweather is in his "Puncher stance", the best way to beat him is by hitting the body because Floyds arms are both up to his face. However, you can only trade punches when he is not moving forward. When Floyd moves forward, he is going to tangle your arms and counter after the break.

Probably he does have those styles, the only style that will probably defeat his style of fighting will come from an unorthodox style fighter, and there is only one fighter that comes to mind to most people and Floyd is having none of him.

If it was that easy he would not be undefeated. Don't forget he will be countering every the fighter makes, so there is no real game plan for beating him other than getting a power puncher with speed and a iron chin who can take punches while inflicting as much damage possible.

I think no, why he docked his fight against pacman? if he has this kind of style why he afraid to pacman? why he used blood testing issue to derailed the fight? Mayweather is bigger than pacman why he wants to take advantages against manny? co'z floyd remembered the 1st fight between Morales and Pacquiao. he knows pacquiao will reject his demand if he insist this kind of blood testing, this is the trick of his cowardice............go ahead pac you floyd
