your afraid to get counter punched i had the same problem, sometimes you just gotta let them bombs go and make sure they count. also what i did was let the opponent land a few shots, they start to think thats where the money is and they keep throwin that same shot and when you think you have their timing down throw your punch and catch them completely off guard.

It's most natural. Of course, you wanna make sure that there is an opening for the punch you're gonna throw. Some fighters, especially counterpunchers, do wait for their opponents to throw first before countering right away. So I'd say it's just alright though you must also go on the offensive once in a while. You wouldn't want to be known as Mr. Hesitation, would you?

well i like to get a good grip on the b*tch*s hair real close to her skull with my left hand. It works like a handle on a girls head. Perfect for angling the face in the right direction to punch with my left hand. If i get tired of punching I usually use the same technique, turn the face down and knee the broad in the face a few times. This has been known to knock out teeth. Head butting is a sure show stopper - but beware!!! this hurts you too!! You might not feel it in the moment, but you will have a knot the next day. For a guy - try kicking him square in his chest before he throws the first punch. This will knock him right on his @ss leaving him open to destroy! Good Luck!!

There can be a number of reason.

The one I will go with is, because you take some form of martial arts I am sure you were taught to fight in self-defense. In most forms of martial arts it is all about reacting to what your opponent does.

Plus most people don't want to get hit, you want to counter act what the person in front of you is doing.
