Is having a big nose a disadvantage in the sport of boxing?

It's quite common, and most professional boxers have had their noses broken many times. If you are at the amateur level, the modern headgear with the cheek protectors will probably protect your nose from being broken. A big nose is not a disadvantage. The same punch will break a bigger or smaller nose. It might just hurt a little more if your nose is bigger and look worse after it has been broken.

Having a big nose is a disadvantage because it gives a bigger target for your opponent. You don't see many big-nosed boxers though, if you box expect your nose to break.

Having a broken nose is a good thing. Notice that most fighters noses are flat, this is from them being broken over and over again.

I think getting hit in the ear hurts worse,in my 5 years boxing i haven't broken my nose,but ihave been hit a lot in the nose and it gets sore and bleeds.

It doesn't matter how the features look, but how good you protect it and avoid getting hit. It can get really bad if you let your big nose consistently absorb shots.

it will bleed easly den and be a huge disadvantage, u can get stopped on account of non stop blood..!!
