@Tough Guy, did I read you right? The undefeated Chavez brothers? So, how did Omar do against Jorge Piaz Jr twice (a 2nd generationer himself). So, how did Julio do against Sergio Martinez? I saw that fight too. Seems like they have 3 losses and 2 draws (Hernandez and Vanda) between them. I mean seriously, do you even follow boxing?

Everybody has to say Floyd Mayweather Jr. 5 division World Champion, he has probably lost count of how many Championships he has held per division. He could be a 6 division, but skipped Jr. Welterweight. He was robbed in the Olympics, or you could add Gold Medalist to that. He never ducks anybody and has shined the spot light on steroids in the sport of Boxing. He is getting up there in age for his weight divisions, but nobody can come close to him.

Just think about it, people say all this crap if he gets hit. He dominated Cotto, knocked out Ortiz in one punch (fairly and legally I might add), and dominated Mosley after Mosley's dominance of Margarito (who Floyd was "ducking", lol.) I'd say Floyd is the most dominant boxer since 1980's Mike Tyson.

Boxing, that's a sturdy Q you published. humorous, i grew to become into questioning the comparable factor few months in the past. Ofcourse Johnny Weissmuller cant be whilst in comparison with Hoogenband, Thorpe, or Michael Phelps. Phelps is already ingesting his snack by using the time Johnny complete the lap in a hundred m-200mfreestyle. Jessie Owens could be laughed at had he ran against Usain Bolt a million on a million. Jessie can elect his adventure a hundred, 200 or a million complete course and he will have no probability. Shaq vs Wilt, I ought to circulate with the super Diesel too. I dont think of Chamberlain might score a hundred factors against guy mountain O'neil. information are broken and numbers in simple terms wont lie. immediately's super athlete in simple terms surpass each little thing our forefathers had to furnish and you pointed that out completely nicely my chum. and that i say particular and particular and particular and related to boxing i say NO. Few boxers of immediately in simple terms had the possibility of combining it up with "oldie chocolates" as you place it. adult males like SRR, Pryor, Hagler, Lamotta, Monzon, Armstrong, Fitzsimmons, Leonard vs. immediately's Sugar Shane, Floyd, Manny, Paul Williams, Margarito, Cotto, Pavlik, Oscar all of their best and fought interior a club and the 1st team walks away and the latter team stands yet none. interior the hoop with the likable adventure united statesit's totally feasible it's going to end 8 to neil favoring the oldies chocolates. Ofcourse because of technologies, equipments, meals, and education regimes, we've hugely greater effective athletes yet you besides mght ought to evaluate that super boxers of the previous did not get plenty relax between bouts and in simple terms had few time to coach, to heal. See what i propose, boxers immediately had all those luxurious that the previous weren't bestowed. you should evaluate thse issues up whilst weighing issues. think of Floyd or Manny doing 2 bouts in a month, and combat hard warring parties and for 15 rounds? Even those 2 representative of immediately's era might call it quits.

Hey Sean! There are several that come to mind for me at this time. The first is Floyd Mayweather Jr who many consider the best of this genreation right now and of course he father was an outstanding fighter during his time. The other of course is the undefeated Chavez brothers Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and his lesser known brother Omar as both are making big names for themselves and finally Corey Spinks who of course had his famous father and did quite well himself. And special mention should also go to Muhammad Ali's daughter who of course made quite a name for herself in the ring. So right now I would have to choose Floyd Mayweather Jr because of his accomplishments in the ring.

Some called me out and was correct. The Chavez brothers are not undefeated of course and I am man enough to admit my mistake. Still they have a great family legacy nonetheless.

Layla Ali of Muhammad Ali's stock--as dominant a world champion but in women's boxing as his father and as popular, good looking and charismatic, too. I don't think she was ever beaten in her career. Her fight versus Joe Frazier's daughter boxer Jackie was among her career highlights.

Honorable mentions:

Floyd Mayweather, Jr.---he more than made up for his father's so so career.by winning championships in five different weight classes and being the best fighter of his generation.

Guty Espadas, Jr.---he duplicated his father's feat as world champion

Luisito Espinosa---his father never made it big but he compensated by winning world titles in bantam and featherweight, two divisions which were waterloo to many Pinoy boxers before he came

Ray Boom Boom Mancini---he fulfilled what his father never got to achieved in his own boxing career..

My vote goes to the son of William "Dynamite" Douglas, none other than James "Buster" Douglas former heavyweight champion of the world. As second generation boxers success go, it's hard to top Buster's KO of Mike in Tokyo.

Floyd Mayweather Jr is the obvious one. JCC Jr., I'm not so sure because he's still developing in skills and career status.

Andre Ward

I was going to say Floyd...but Andre got the gold and Floyd didn't...plus when its all set and done, I believe, and I hope that Ward will be greater than Floyd
