Hauser's book is a bit better than Myers. Myers' book is for 5th and 6th graders. The best autobiography (in my opinion) of Muhammad Ali is "King Of the World" by David Remnick.

As a 17 year old, I wagered my Greengrocer father (who knew Henry Cooper) that Cassius Clay would beat Sonny Liston. I stayed up (the event was televised at about 4 in the morning - it was such a long, long time ago) in order to watch it. At the end of the fight, I went over to my parents' flat (they lived just up the road) knocked on the door, woke up my dad, and, asked him to honour the bet. To begin with, he refused to believe that Clay had 'bested' Liston. Once it had 'sunk' in, he 'coughed up.' Wonderful days, during which, our hearts (as well as my Late Father's wallet) were lighter! There shall never be another Muhammad Ali. Ever. To this family, He represents Sainthood.
