Let's make it straight. The only reason why Mayweather return is that he's been jealous of what Manny Pacquiao has achieved and that he can't accept the fact that someone is stepping on that spot once he was stepping to. If he really considered himself as an undisputed champion well there's no one who can take that away from him there's no need of explanation. HE IS A CHAMPION.... once! Before, when The Pacman is not yet around.

Another thing is Pacman achieved the highest achievement a boxer cud ever achieved that is why he is now on The Hall Of Fame. 7 World Title which Mayweather never did.

The truth is, The Greatest comes after the Best.

Mayweather see himself as The Best of the Best.

Well, here comes Pacman, The Greatest Fighter of all time.

But ofcourse the whole world is waiting too long for this and for the sake of entertainment this fight must be set as soon as possible. Good Luck for Mayweather he should keep on practicing instead of talking cause definitely the only defense he could use to Pacquiao is those feet.

Running away from....The Fastest Hand of all time.

Well yes he could fight Juan Marquez again because Manny had a hard time on this guy and that Marquez knows how to psyche Pacquiao and Marquez knows when to counter attack and does a lot of hit and runaway tactic...but Marquez has no match for Pacquiao's speed and overwhelming power punches, but take a look at the fight between Mayweather Jr. and Marquez it looks as if Marquez doesn't know what to do with him and Mayweather is just a copycat of what Marquez is doing and Mayweather Jr. is just giving Marquez a taste of his own medicine and I believe Mayweather will do that same tactic to Manny Pacquiao. I haven't seen Shane Mosley fights but the big factor is Mayweather Jr. If Pacquiao is still strong and wants to make money again then he should fight Mosley first and learn some more from this guy before he gets Floyd Mayweather Jr. which is the real big deal.

I think that Pacquiao's next opponent should be "Flawed" Mayweather and I believe I am on the same

page with most people on this one. Now whether this fight will happen soon is a different story. Expect

all those antics and posturings mostly from the Mayweather camp who will definitely demand to have

the lion's share of the purse. I believe, though, that it will eventually take place because it's the fight

that the people want to see. If things bog down or hit a snag during the negotiation, Pacquiao can pro-

bably take on Mosley ( either at 140 lbs. or at a catchweight of 142 lbs. ) for the meantime. Forget about Juan Manuel Marquez at this point. After Mayweather, Pacquiao can either accomodate

him or just retire without giving him the satisfaction of another bout and a big payday ( although Roach

wants Pacquiao to shut him up once and for all ).

PACMAN IN POLITICS

Manny Pacquiao will fight next year but it will be a different fight. It will be a political fight for the lone congressional seat of Sarangani Province probably against a Choingbian. The incumbent congressman is

Chiongbian, Erwin L.

Chiongbian, Erwin L.Representative

Sarangani, Lone District

SARRO-LAKAS-CMD

Term: 3

Age: 66

Date of Birth: 19 September 1943

Place of Birth: SAGAY, NEGROS OCCIDENTAL

Religion: Christian

Civil Status: M

Spouse: Nancy M. Chiongbian

Other Profession: Businessman

Now since this congressman is on his 3rd and final term, it is probable that Manny Pacquiao will be up against the wife or one of the four children of Cong Chiongbian. So it will be Pacquiao vs Chiongbian in May 2010.

PACMAN IN BOXING

If the fight is in the boxing ring, it would be Floyd Mayweather, Jr. of Grand Rapids, Michigan with a fight record of 40 wins (25 by knock) out with no losses. From July 18, 2005 through June 2, 2008 he was rated by The Ring magazine as the number-one pound for pound boxer in the world. Mayweather has won six world boxing championships in five different weight classes; he is the former WBC welterweight champion, a title he vacated upon his retirement. He was named Ring Magazine Fighter of the Year in 1998 and 2007.

However, having these two boxing greats sign on a boxing contract might be a problem and it boils down to who takes the most of the purse?

Another possible is Shane Mosley with a record of 46 wins (39 wins by knock out), 5 losses, 1 no contest. Shane Mosley is 38 y.o. against Pacman age of 30 y.o. The match might not be exciting as a Pacquiao-Mayweather match.

Floyd Mayweather Jr.

To end all the speculations of who the best pound for pound king. The ability of Mayweather can not be under estimated so as with Manny Pacquiao I have high respect for both fighters. Pacquiao's recent success triggered Mayweather to return to the boxing arena. The fame and fortune Pacquaio have at the moment is far from what Mayweather has during his time. Both fighters will be the cause of their retirement should they fight the soonest if Pacquiao wins over Mayweather then he can retire peacefully like if Mayweather wins over Pacquiao then he can also retire peacefully. But at the rate things are going I think Mayweather is just reeling some insecurities with Pacquiao and if this attitude buried in his head then he cant be the winner.

Manny Pacquiao is none other than Floyd Mayweather, of course. Maybe after this fight he can now then retire from boxing. There are many reasons why he should fight FM.. one reason is the big fight purse.. estimated for about more than $100M.. if they both agree a 50/50, 60/40, 65/35 deal. Still, it will be the biggest pay-off in his entire career, there's no other big deal than Pacquiao vs Mayweather. Even if he (Pacman) lose.. but i think and i pray as a Filipino he'll gonna make it. He is still a Legend in an All-time Best P4P in Boxing because of his title "7 time World Champion in & 7 weight division"... FM i'm sure couldn't match with that achievement of the PACMAN. But boy! what will happen if our very own PAMBANSANG KAMAO (Phil. Natl. Fist) wins in this Fight of the Century.... i guess he'll be the next President of our country... hahahahah..... just kidding.

It should be Floyd Mayweather Jr., to finally end the controversy between Manny and Him on who really is the better man inside the ring. Floyd has so much to prove, the fighters he fought, Manny did fight them in a much convincing manner, to wit, Dela Hoya and Hatton. Floyd better be in athletics, he's a runner not a fighter. every time he fights he run around, afraid to stand toe to toe with his opponent. His knockout win over Hatton is from lucky punch. He can not beat Pacquiao inside a ring or even as a gentelmen in the field of sport. The Mayweather father and son tandem are pure mouths, they brag to much. It seems they are afraid to face Pacquiao. Mayweather will never stand toe to toe with Pacquiao and there is no doubt about that.

Well, it should be Floyd Jr., It will be a great fight that the world want to see. Marquez will no longer match up the power of Manny and he will definitely be knocked out if he intended to fight manny at this time. Shane Mosley is a very good option but I don't see him winning this fight. He probably thinks twice right now if he will fight Manny after the devastating loss of Puerto Rican Miguel Cotto to a Filipino Manny Pacquiao. Floyd Jr. kept telling that he is the best fighter in the world. Well, let's see if he is going to fight Manny...In my point of view, Floyd Jr. is afraid of fighting Manny and that is for sure. If he is not beaten and never loss to easy opponents before, now he will experience a tremendous loss and again, that's for sure.

I hope this fight should happen.

Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Manny will completely shut Floyd down and humiliate him for life in his own humble way. And those trash talks will bounce back to Floyd's face, like the Sr.! Two sports or events where Floyd can only win over Pacman! 1st: Running, 2nd: Trash Talking! But in Boxing? Floyd should not have come out of his early retirement! Not to mention Manny's singing ability, he's even got a better singing voice than the big mouth Floyd, hehe!

Pacman fights for his country and will die fighting for it ("Ang Mamatay ng Dahil Sa 'Yo!"). And whenever he wins he shares his fortunes to the poor and the unfortunate people of his country. But, Floyd fights for money and ego! A sure loser.

Though it's gonna be a boring fight. Just make it happen, so that all the doubts and criticisms for the Legendary Pacman ends right then and there once and for all!

God bless you Pacman!

it would be Mayweather Jr - the much anticipated bout of the century. If purse division is the problem, I suggest it would be a "winner-take-all" or if one camp or the other insists on 60-40 or 65-35 or 70-30, again I suggest the winner will get the bigger part of the pie. If one camp dares the other camp to come up with the above-mentioned schemes then you can now judge right away who is the real "pound-for-pound" boxer even before the real fight starts. These are all suggestions, if purse division will be the problem, I think it would be better to take this matter on the sideline as it would be best to fight for the GLORY and PRIDE that go with this match, to settle once and for all who is the real 'POUND-FOR-POUND BOXER" between Pacquiao and Mayweather.

The answer is the undefeated pound for pound best fighter in the world "Floyd Mayweather Jr". His style is more better than the Pacman. It will all depend on Freddie Roach on how he can counter the boxing style of the money man Mayweather Jr. That's Manny Pacquiao's only hope, His Master Freddie Roach, But in comparison of the two boxer's Floyd Mayweather Jr. is the man to beat.

The fight all of boxing-dom wants to see is the Pacquiao - Mayweather (or Mayweather - Pacquiao) fight. The fight WILL happen EVENTUALLY, although not immediately, especially since the paying(betting) public has made it clear that this is the fight they want to see (much like what happened when the people wanted to see the Leonard - Hearns fight). However negotiations will be long and very interesting, with both fighters vying for the lions share of the purse. This I think would be the biggest factor for the fight to push through. Personally, if Mayweather doesn't take the fight because of money, I'd say he's ducking Pacquiao. There's TOO MUCH MONEY on the table in this fight for both of them. I'd say split the purse 45 - 45, with the extra 10% going to the winner (props to Yahoo Sports writer/blogger Kevin Lole for this idea). But amidst all the obstacles, this fight SHOULD and WOULD HAPPEN, although not soon, but EVENTUALLY. Can't wait for the boxing match of OUR generation.

Manny Pacquiao must fight Juan Manuel Marquez first before he fights Mayweather. It is because many had doubted with his last two fights with Marquez. Shane Mosley is just a too veteran for Pacquiao. He had proven his name as a boxer and fighter in his prime but it is pacmans time now. He can't beat Pacquiao, not this time

To further cement his record as a multi weight division champion, Pacman should fight at jr. middleweight. He can challenge one of the champions there, ask them to come down a few pounds and meet at a catchweight of around 150 lbs. I believe he can still be competitive at that level. If he wins at jr. middleweight, he would be a champion in 8 weight divisions, a record which would be very difficult to eclipse. He has created history as a 7 weight division champion. An 8 division champion is almost unthinkable in this day and age. Pacman's place in the history of boxing would be firmly fixed if he goes on to win an 8th title in the jr. middleweight division. Fighting Floyd Mayweather will make him money. But he does not need the money at this time. An 8 weight division champion is a record that won't be broken for a long long time. it's pretty much like Michael Phelps 8 gold medals in the Beijing Olympics.

I will be elated to see Pac-Man vs F. Mayweather Jr. fight each other to settle who really is the pound for pound king. Shane Mosley was defeated by Cotto whom Pac-Man beat lately so, it would not be interesting to see this match-up. On the other hand Pac-Man fight with Juan Marquez is already settled. Such match-up may sound interesting but Marquez must first fight Cotto to prove and justify he's worth it.

Agreed Mayweather is the inevitable opponent but will be a tedious process in settling on an agreement. Shane Mosley wants the big payday so he will take any kind of cut. Of course if Berto wins v. Mosley then he should be considered, but doubt it will happen. Juan Marquez will never have another shot at Manny, I would love to see him go at it with Valero. It going to be tough for Manny cause fighting a true Welterweight like Cotto took it's toll on Manny

i would rather see Pacquiao fight Shane Mosley. they're both punchers and brawlers. i want to see who will last, who is stronger and who is a brainer. Let Floyd Jr. be Floyd Jr. and in the end...he will regret it. Why? he didn't have a chance to beat the best. He thinks he is the best!...let him think that! He wants money in fighting Pacquiao? Pacquiao no longer needs the money! Floyd Jr? Did he come out of retirement 'cause he's broke? Let him be broke. I just wish a Pacquiao-Mayweather Jr. fight will not push through 'cause, at the loser's end...it's Floyd Jr. Broke and demented!

For me, it should be Manny and May-weather Jr. He is the only one who left unbeaten on his weight division. And should be seen who's really called the no.1 "p4p king" in the ring...Now Marquez is no longer capable of fighting Manny bcoz' he's aging and could'nt show any proof anymore. While Shane is old enough but wants only a piece of cake. I think Manny vs Mayweather Jr. is the best fight of all time in the history of boxing...and after that win or lose, for Manny he should retire and enjoy his wealth.. after all he already craving a record in boxing history...

I don't prefer Mayweather to be Manny's next opponent. He ain't worth it. It will be a frustrating and boring fight coz Mayweather will just dance and run. it will be very frustrating for Pacman. He don't fight such boxers. Im wondering why Mayweather was once called pound for pound boxer when the only thing he can do is to box a little then run. But that's boxing. i can't argue with that style.but it's an eye strain seeing manny chase and be frustrated coz he's actually fighting somebody who don't really want to fight. People call it being a strategist. I don't question that but i don't really want him to be the next opponent of manny, he's ain't worth it.

It will be MANNY vs. MONEY. because this money man keeps yelling that he's the best. Then try my MANny to see who's the BEST, set aside your greedy intentions to make money why not risk your PRIDE & HONOR as to who's the best boxer at this time. Monkey man said that, oopps i mean Money Man always says that Manny is One-Dimensional Fighter (ODF). If Pacman is such an ODF then WHY as in WHY did he captured a record breaking 8 titles in different weight division.... OHHHA? Does a one dimensional fighter can achieve such a feat? I don't think soooo... Does the Money man beats Hatton and De la Hoya the way Manny does????

Then let's see when that time comes who the PACMAN eats and who will PACked my MAN. I guess you Floyd will become PACKED MONEY.

Lastly i have to say FLOYD MAY the WEATHER be good to the Filipinos.

Manny needs a grand vacation from boxing itself.Let Mayweather fight one more fight of his own.

I would suggest (Mayweather) to fight Cotto too.Manny should fight after the complete rest from boxing Mayweather Jr,that would be by mid or last quarter of 2010.Then Pacquiao should retire for good and leave his legacy for the boxing historians and authorities of boxing (media, promoters, experts, fans etc.).

I do believe it should be Floyd Mayweather! He's so full of himself that things have to be settled once and for all. The nerve to say that Pacquiao had to " step up to the plate" is just too full of empty and may I say, scared, air! Although I agree that he's a good fighter too but still he has not faced Pacquiao yet so he still has to prove something, right? So better say you're ready unless you really ain't! Scairdy cat!

You are only a co-champion if you only have 1 or 2 of all the belts. Manny Dapidran Pacquiao is the whole-world champion from

several weight division. He can still make it to win Mayweatherperson, to put more tactics subduing the challenger. You must has to train more

harder to overcome all testing punching done by Cotto. You must not do that to Maywaether person, because mayweatherperson will take advantage to hit harder your body to hurt you. In NO WAY Pacquiao WILL DO AGAIN AND AGAIN. That is a serious mistake to do that. NEVER TEST HIS STRENGTH iIN THE RING. DO IT TACTICALLY BE GIVING YOUR POWER TO KO HIM AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE. I'm with you always to support you by prayer to put more strength against him. NO giveaway punches because Mayweathetperson is opportunist at all times. Look at his picture. Since Pacquiao was hinting to fight one last time and retire from boxing after his succesful fight with cotto and if there is an exciting and perfect opponent the world wanted to see for that fight it will be FLOYD MAYWEATHER JR. Now that the superman from our country Philippines has publicly expresses his desire to fight the best fighter in his choosen weight division, FLOYD, who is a legitimate best with his unblemish boxing record, should answer the challenge and make it happen by not resorting to some technicality with regards to purse sharing. It'S not fair to demand 65-35 sharing in his favor. The seven division champ deserves better. 50-50 sharing is fair to make the fight happen...........WOW...FOR THOUSANDS IN ATTENDANCE ....FOR MILLIONS WATCHING IN PPV...AND BILLIONS WATCHING IN THEIR HOMES........ The next opponent of manny should be himself. he already attained 7 times the acheivement he is suppose to have. that is already too much for an acheivement. stepping up to another division will not satisfy everybody. after he defeated mayhanginngweather, people want more and will say that "it will be the greatest fight ever!, manny should fight and step up to anther divsion!" (i've heared this again and again) but surely he cannot reach heavy weight. some of these fights will difinetly put manny's carrier fall down or even more put his life in danger. fight himself and face reality. he already had more than enough in boxing and enough wealth to support his family. he should think of his family, his future and specially himself. its selfishness to urge manny to put himself in danger just for the sake of ones never ending satisfaction, and its truthfulness and pure from the heart suuport to urge manny to think of himself and his family, and to think of mayweather's health or life, his carrier and family if he (manny) defeated him (maywheather, jr.).

I think the most fitted boxer to be knock by Manny will be Edwin Valero, the style and technique of this two boxer were almost the same. Edwin Valero record is 25 win all knock out, first 18 opponent were knock out in first round. If Manny can reach 5th round he is lucky.

It should be Floyd Mayweather...Floyd consider himself as the best boxer in the world 'cause no one can beat him on 145-147lbs weight division only..But, upon entering Manny Pacquiao on the same weight division Floyd as i cud say is scare to face the pound 4 pound king..That's why Floyd keeps on making many excuses or demand of money sharing for which of which will be given the highest share in order to discontinue fight between them...Tsk..tsk..tssk..and if negotiation of their promoter is materialize i wud say the end is near for Floyd for retirement...and before he retire i can see a lot of blood and wound to his face..so gud luck to both boxer..may the best boxer win...............

I'd love to see manny beats floyd.. mayweather has a lot of things to say so to shut his mouth off, he should face the pacman. i want floyd to kiss the feet of the pound for pound king after their most anticipated match. so come on mayweather.. don't fight those whom you can surely beat..fight manny and we'll see what you've got..talk to manny with your gloves and not with your trashy and dirty talks.. you have to respect the best fighter man..

obviously, it should be Floyd Mayweather. I've seen the way he fight, he's really fast and accurate with his punches, and also he hasn't been defeated yet. so for me a fight with Mayweather can really put manny pacquiao in the history of boxing, if he can defeat him, he'll be breaking the record of mayweather. and that is really HUGE!

Pagsamahin na si Mosley at Mayweather na kalabanin ni Pacquiao..2 vs 1...para wala ng excuse pa si mayweather kung matalo sya.

Manny Pacquiao don't need to prove himself when it comes boxing greatness...why not give mayweather a change to prove himself also because he claims that he is the no 1 boxer today....

Hey dude, you forgot to mention her wife Jinky to be his next opponent. There is strong rumor in Philippine showbiz that Pacquiao has/had an affair with his co-star in the movie WAPAKMAN Crista Ranillo heheheh!

To be serious, I think it should be Mayweather because he is the only one who has the qualities compare to the other boxer, that would match Pacman. Also to prove who is the best among these two bests.

Obviously Mayweather. But who knows if mayweather accepts the challenge because he knows he's a little B*tch and too scared to fight pacquiao. As a filipino I know that pacquiao is not afraid of anybody and any challenge

obviously, it's Floyd Mayweather Jr. to show the whole world who is the Best Fighter between Money and Manny. I think it is the one of the toughest fight in the History of Boxing.

i want manny pacquiao to fight with floyd mayweather because his such an arrogant man. defeating him is the only way to stop his rudeness and out of the board comments over pacquiao.

Manny is a great fighter in boxing history, shane is my choice to fight manny coz he is a true champion and fighter he dominated all his opponent in the ring..Mayweather is no match to manny coz he is not a real fighter..

2009-11-16 03:22:25 UTC
I think Floyd Mayweather Jr. should be his next opponent because only mayweather is a hole in his all time great status. Beating mayweather would put him as the greatest fighter of all time.

2009-11-19 18:43:38 UTC
all answerers voted Floyd mayweather as the worthy opponent.

and it seems Manny have already won the fight here unanimously (very obvious)

the next question, who will fight manny? Mayweather lost,,,,

for evidences, read all answers above

Mosley and Marquez are losers. What has Pacquio to prove? He should fight an undefeated champion. That is Mayweather.

i think it will be best if he fights mayweather.. but no doubt pacquiao is greater than mayweather now, look at all the beatings he had done with his previous opponents.. with due respect to mayweather, he is an excellent fighter but he's boxing style is so boring to watch... unlike pacquiao every round you'll get electrified and always at the edge of your seat.. damn! you'll get your money's worth watching him fight..

it's more exciting that Floyd May Weather jr. will be the next. the result of the fight will stop floyd keep on claiming himself as the best pound for pound king. I want to see how he handles the fight or how he run, run, run, and run...

for me floyd may-weather is the best answer! why? coz he claimed that he is the pound-pound king of boxing, if he will say that again, first is he will prove to the world r to the bilions fans of boxing that he will.. not only for rumors, coz i knew many pacquiao"s capabability to punish floyd mayweather on the ring, coz i'm also a boxer and at the same time a trainer of boxers.. coz he always claimed...i assure. he is the next man whos many will destroy next and punish him in the start of the bell, in mark my words coz all my pridictions is very succesful.... you can e-mail me on my ym, glen_apduhan2000@yahoo.com for additional information and also for pridiction of fights, and for those who wants to train boxing in affordable price, i can be a self trainor or private traineor, i can go to your residence or wherever you want.. you can richme also on my no. 09263544594

No, no, no.... Mayweather is a glory grabber for the money kind of guy. Let him stay with his lousy 6 division without glory. After all, money is not that counts. It would be nice for them to fight for charity with out any belts involved. Let's see, if Mayweather accepts this challenge?????
?
2009-11-16 08:00:20 UTC
Floyd Mayweather..

coz this guy is claiming he is the #1 pound for pound.. but who he has beaten? if he has balls, he should fight pacquiao and i fully agree with freddie roach.. it should be 50/50 or winner take all. if he is confident that he can beat pacquiao, then he should accept the winner take all offer.

Certainly, the most exciting and megabuck opponent would be Floyd Mayweather, Jr. Both fighters are titled pound for pound king of boxing. We have to settle the score who will be the real pound for pound king of boxing of all times, that is, Pacman and F. Mayweather must fight in the ring!!!!
Dman Jr

Maywether is the most appropriate bet but the thing is Manny's fight will not be inside the ring but in to politics .He will be running against 2the Chiongbian of Saragani for Congress seat.Would you consider him entering politics?

my idol moneymay!i think as of now there the biggest draw in boxing, and of course all of us would like to know whose the pound for pound king. and also i want to see floyd defense and manny offense when they fight each other.defense vs offense, slick floyd vs hand speed of manny and in the end floyd will win via unanimous decision.

No more if there's still few sense Pacquiao left! He wants to become Elorde & M. Ale? He has nothing to prove. Who do you think will enjoy his millions and beautiful wife if he becomes a vegetable or dead. It's better to be a rotten politician than a rotten body.

If possible no more fight for Pacquiao because he will lost for the next fight.

For his wined on this fight he will be big headed now with to much confidence and he will lost his belt for his next fight. So no more fight for Pacquiao time for him to enjoy his wealth.

who ever manny wants to fight provided that the money is right....its good for him....anyway manny has nothing to probe to the world that he is one of the great boxer ever produce on top of the square ring....since boxing is a very harsh sport...its only right for pakman to recieve that mega buck purse.... no alibis...pakman can beat the guys like mosley,mayweather,marquez....coz pakman has a good heart.... i salut pakman..... he's good guy.... an idol in deed

Lovell
2009-11-16 17:10:18 UTC
I don't want that Manny pacquiao would fight anymore.what he is now, is enough..what else he wanted to prove? he is already the BOXING KING..he is the unbeatable..it's good for him to concentrate on his own life and family..
eim
2009-11-16 15:23:43 UTC
if im manny, i should not go with another fight... there's no sense of doing so (Pac-man have it all, fame and money) instead i will take my time with my family and/ in my country...and if given a chance to run as VP or whatever position in this 2010 election, ill go prepare for it and do my best way to prove that im better for that position not just in words...

one last thing, i believe in you Pac-man, and please always be a "man of action" in everything you do and everything you have.

I LOVE TO SEE MANNY FIGHT IT OUT TOE TO TOE AGAINST MONEY MAYWEATHER. BUT THAT IS ONLY HAPPENING IF PBFM IS WILLING TO ENGAGE IN A RISKY SHOWDOWN WITH MANNY. MAYWEATHER IS A SMART BOXER BUT HE'LL HAVE A TOUGHEST TEST IN THE HANDS OF PACMAN. PACMAN AGAINST JMM IS STILL AN INTERSTING FIGHT FANS THE WORLD OVER WOULD LOVE TO SEE...

"We want Floyd"

Why? the world wants to see it....it could be the fight of our generation...a modern "Thrilla in Manila" or "Rumble in the Jungle"...not just that, this fight cements the legacies of both men....win or lose...

In reality, Pacquiao could just retire right now and be considered an all-time great...but this fight is one for the fans, for the people.. that's why it should happen....
