ALL NAVY BOXING: Unlike the others that are posting information here I will give you an intelligent answer.

1. You must be a registered USA BOXING athlete with at least 5 bouts recorded in your passbook.

2. You must have a completed application that includes command endorsement and a physical.

3. Be accpeted to the team either by way of try out or submit your record and achievements ( for those not stationed stateside).

Once accepted you go into the ALL NAVY BOXING CAMP at Port Hueneme CA for a couple months to prepare for the Armed Forces Championships in FEB of each year.

More info can be found for training and the application process at www.7citiesboxing.org

For the gentleman that calls the Navy, quote "GAYASS" all I can say is that you must not be able to make the team and therefore disgruntled or perhaps you are just sad because things are not going your way. Either way check out the above information source and maybe I can help.

Its possible to be on a unit boxing team and box others from the same naval base 2. But with the deployment tempo, intramural sports have taken a back burner 3. If your talking about the Navy's boxing team -- then you are way under estimating the level of competition Boxers on service boxing teams are nationaly ranked amateur boxers IE: multiple state golden gloves champions, placed in the US amateur boxing national championships, invited to the olympic trails

I'm not sure what you have to do to qualify. Assuming you are enlisting full time, boxing could actually become your MOS where all you do everyday is train and compete with the Navy boxing team. I'm not sure if they have more than one division. Most likely they are all based out of the same place and you practically train and work there until you don't wanna do it no more.
