I think Amir Khan is the only fighter who can beat Floyd Mayweather Jr.?

I honestly think that Khan is the fastest fighter in the World right now, he has great speed, decent pop, good footwork, decent reach + all round natural boxing abilities. Just look at some of his combos here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rRf2Sbtbi6U

I don't see any other guy coming close to beating Floyd not even Pacquiao (Maybe a Prime Pacquiao but I think this fight is almost meaningless now) Floyd hasn't faced anyone as fast as Khan for a long while now, Khan will be too fast for him, I think till Floyd adjusts to the speed of Khan, Khan will be far ahead on points and Mayweather will find himself shook and in a state of Nightmare.

Yes Khan has been KO'ed before by a Monstrous punch from Danny Garcia that landed on his neck, kind of a lucky shot, but Styles make fights and I don't see Floyd Mayweather Jr. doing the same to Khan and knocking him out with same punch, I think there's more a chance of Khan knocking Mayweather out then vice versa (Khan has more power than Mayweather and has some deadly combos in his arsenal).

I'm a big fan of Floyd but I think Amir Khan beats him and will be the one to take his '0' and dethrone his Legacy, If the fight goes 12 rounds, I see Khan beating Mayweather by a close UD. Do you guys agree? If not then feel free to explain? Thanks..!!

I see your point. If Mayweather and Khan were to fight tomorrow, I'd pick Floyd to win. However, there is a very good chance that Khan could prove me wrong.

I've often said, over the past three years, that Khan would present the toughest challenge to Floyd. I've also known that Floyd would have more trouble with Khan than he would with Pacquiao. I've felt that, for as long as he fights, Mayweather would never face both Pacquiao and Khan.

.

If you look at every fighter to ever trouble Floyd, you will see that none of them has anything in common with Amir Khan. Floyd has never faced anyone with the blend of speed and power of Khan. The closest would be Oscar de la Hoya. The big difference there, and the best chance for Floyd to ensure a win, is that he got inside Oscar's head. Khan is known to stray from a fight plan.

.

I think Khan has all the tools and to give Mayweather a rough night. I'm just not so sure Khan has the mind set.

In a match between Khan and Floyd I'd bet on Khan. In a match between Floyd and Manny (the one that will never happen) I'd bet everything I owned on Manny. Everyone knows Floyd's been dodging that fight and I wouldn't be surprised if he tried to dodge Khan forever too, because as much as I hate his guts Floyd is a smart businessman. He doesn't take fights he can't win. That's why he'll never take a fighter who can match his speed (Khan), run right through him like a steam train (Pacquiao), or even both (Pacquiao again).

Floyd isn't a boxer, he's a track runner. He defends, throws a jab or 2 then runs around for half a round. If he fought Khan he'd lose because Khan is quicker than he is. If he fought Manny he'd lose cause Manny could KO him in 1 shot and he's not exactly slow himself. Floyd will best be remembered as that guy who dodged all the most difficult fights, not as the guy who was never defeated. He'll never be no Muhammad Ali, because Muhammad Ali lost a few and never dodged anyone, and he'll never be the best boxer of this age because Manny Pacquiao and Khan never dodged no fights either.

Speed doesn't always win fights, it's all about the delivery. Just look at Gary Russell last saturday who has all the speed in the world but barely landed on Loma. Even with the Khan and Garcia that just shows how he got caught throwing a reckless combination.

Speed kills but timing kills speed. Floyd has the best timing in boxing and he may not knock Khan out but he can land clean shots to win the decision. I do think Khan would give Mayweather problems and it would definitely be one of the more difficult stylistic matchups for him but I just don't think he would break the barrier of giving him problems to actually winning the fight.

Khan has the potential to upset Mayweather..

If Khan stuck to a game plan, and boxed in flurries, as opposed to slugging it out, he could win a clever points decision..

Remember - Mayweather is fighting Old Father Time too... That's an opponent that he, nor anybody else will get the better of..

Khan probably won't be available to fight in September, so if he is still in the mix, the next date would be May 2015..... Khan being in the prime of his life, against an ageing, slowing Mayweather...

Mayweather is without doubt the top dog at the moment... But history will tell us 'That every dog has it's day'..

grooming the glass jaw for another tmt show?

wont happen till probably next year due to ramadan...

you serious, dude, floyd will tease til khan takes the bait cos khan is always reckless he'll open up and leave that brittle chin open to floyds surgical punches... wham!... there goes your fantacy down...

you think khan might outbox the best skilled boxer of this era? dream on.... you think khan might got lucky to land some hard punches and hurt floyd.. and that would out score floyd? wow, aint that where mosley failed... same speed, same power... we all know if you dont get floyd on the early rounds, floyd will outbox you on the later rounds... unless he pressure floyd, but how, he got a glass jaw to protect, plus khan was never a pressure fighter...lol... and you want to wait till 2015 for all this crap?

and for the meantime, floyd keeps duckin the megafight and goes vacation for the rest of the year cos hes out of opponent

properly short hair makes you seem much more clean and it makes you seem like you have a good sense of style and long makes an individual seem more manly and playful

His offensive hand speed would make it interesting, but i cant see a rubber-legged, glass jawed Euro ever giving Mayweather any real trouble

Mayweather thinks there are several fighters who can beat him, which is why he will not fight them.
