Charley Burley just may be the greatest fighter never to win a title as he was never given an opportunity to win one. The reason was the color line of boxing and simply because nobody wanted to fight him including Sugar Ray Robinson. He often fought much larger men such as Ezzard Charles and Archie Moore and I just cannot vision Mayweather doing anything as remarkable as that and Burley even floored and beat Moore by unanimous decision. He wass very smart with all the skills, a complete fighter. Mayweather Jr would fight well against Burley but Burley would have an answer to everything he did and win because of his superior punching power and toughness. Burley by unanimous decision.

"Mayweather by SD"
Do you mean the Burley who fought from Welter to Light-Heavy?
Do you mean the Burley who fought and beat the best and most avoided on 'Black Murders Row'?
The Burley who beat the great Cocoa Kid (Whom Ray Robinson admired and patterned himself after because of the Kid's great boxing skills)?
The Burley who beat the boxing's slick defensive wizard Holman Willams?
Did you mean the Burley who took the larger all time great Ezzard Charles to 10? (Cant see Floyd even doing half that.)
Or did you mean the Burley who beat the tricky great K.O. artist Archie Moore?
If that's the Burley you mention then my prediction is Burley by TKO in/around the 8th. Because I cant see Floyd accomplishing all that Burley did.

I haven't seen Burley fight, but based on what little hearsay I've heard, he was something else. And if supposedly (though I don't see it) Ray Robinson avoided him, then he must have truly been at least a very good fighter.Floyd definitely has skill, but Burley probably has enough to upset him for a decision, 12 or 15.

Ring is wrong, it wouldn't be close, Burley would over power Floyd. The size and power disadvantage's would be too much for Floyd to over come, Burley would man handle Floyd. Thumbs up to Toughguy, he nailed this one, IF Floyd survived, he would lose handily to Burley.

this won't happen in the first place because floyd is going to chicken out and make another excuses to avoid this fight with the greats.
