Shane Mosley a great boxer and respectful man who has never backdown from any other boxer. He is the best i've ever seen with lightning speed reflexes and throws power punches for a small welterweight he was my favorite from the earlier stages of his career up to now he will always be my favorite boxer.

My personal favorite fighter of all time is Floyd Patterson. Youngest (at the time) to hold the heavyweight title, first ever to regain the title after losing it (not even Dempsey, Baer, Braddock, or Louis could do that), and was referred to as "the best pure boxer I ever faced" by none other than Muhammad Ali.

***For the record, Isaac. . . Marciano isn't the only "undefeated champion". . . . Ricardo "Finito" Lopez. Look him up. Did you mean "heavyweight champion"? If so, you're right.

Watched boxing since 1988. Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. I can't put one over the other. Tyson because he was just so overwhelming. Hooks and uppercuts coming from every angle with the same fluidity as a Kobe Bryant jumpshot. One of the most dominant athletes I've ever seen. Roy Jones Jr. was a bigger, real life Bruce Lee. The way he understands the sport is like nothing I've ever seen. So fast.

I grew up in the late eighties and back then Tyson was the only heavyweight boxer that mattered, growing i remember vividly as my family would gather in the living room, my dad,my uncles,my mom,my cousins and even the neighbours (they were white and they always stood out but they were nice people) would come together to watch the young Mike Tyson produce another knock out victory, this was before he started acting stupidly, as a child i could never fathom the possibilty that Tyson could lose (Until Douglas crashed my world in 1990) and even today i still remember those days, to kids like us Tyson was the strongest man in the world and for a few years,he proved us right each time......now that i am a lot older when i look back i have to say mohammed ali....he was not perfect as a man (his wives can attest to that) but he overcame a lot of odds and he has shown that a strong spirit can overcome the impossible, he started out as a fast talking kid from louisville who many believed would be crushed under sonny liston's merciless punches. He went on to defeat Liston twice and boxing was never the same after that. His entire life would make any hollywood writer drool with envy, he stood up for what he believed in and opposed racism with the same fervor with which he defeated opponents in the ring, he was stripped of his title for refusing to go against his beliefs and came back three years later to win it from a prime george foreman....who was no ordinary boxer, his fights with frazier are epic and his penchant for theatrics helped catapult boxing to the world stage in a manner that had not been seen since jack dempsey retired, Ali still means a lot to a lot of people and his accomplishments speak for themselves, he fought against many of boxing's greatest legends and he beat them...perhaps the fast talking kid from louisville knew what he was talking about when he called himself the greatest.

David Tua. Im not saying hes the best but his K.Os are epic. He has Knockouts over Hassim Rahman, John Ruiz, Oleg Maskaev, Michael Moorer. All were heavyweight champs at one time but sadly Tua only got ONE shot at the title, a loss to Lennox Lewis. Watch his highlights on youtube and you will be a fan too. If I can cheat and put one more it would be Julian Jackson. He had the best combonation for exciting fights....Hardest puncher in his era, Weakest chin in his era. You can youtube him also and i promise you wont be dissapointed!!!

I always had a lot of respect and admiration for the older fighters like Joe Louis, Rocky Marciano, and Sugar Ray Robinson and their fabulous careers. As a teenager I grew up with the career of Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier, Carlos Monzon, and George Foreman among others. Later on, I loved watching the careers of Hagler, Hearns, Leonard, Duran, Holmes, Arguello, and Pryor among others so I will narrow down my list to my favorite of each time.

Old School fighter: Rocky Marciano as he was the man who refused to lose despite having a short reach making up for it with heart, determination, desire and a Suzy Q right hand!

As a teenager: My favorite fighter of them all was Joe Frazier because he came to fight every time out there and had that great left hook.

As an adult: My favorite fighter is and has always been Alexis Arguello because of the way he acted with class and dignity in and out of the ring. Great respect for the man.

James J. Jefferies + Bob Fitzsimmons ---- Jim Jefferies was never defeated or knocked down in his prime. Jim fought & beat Fitz, Corbett & Tom Sharkey 2X each breaking each man's ribs. Jim later offered to fight Fitz & Corbett & Sharkey ALL ON THE SAME NIGHT but they refused his offer.----- In 1892 Bob Fitzsimmons KNOCKED OUT 6 MEN IN ONE NIGHT during an exhibition tour. Although Fitz was little more than a middleweight, all 6 men were over 200 pounds & over 6 foot tall. One of these men weighed 240 pounds & was 6 foot 7 inches tall.

I would have to go with rocky marciano and he was 49-0-0 not 44-0-0.he was the shortest and one of the lightest heavyweight champs of all time but he had the heart of a lion.he refused to lose.he also was one of the hardest hitting fighters of all time.he would hit the punching bag and sand would come out the sides.i've seen the video of it.he once broke a mans forarm by punching it to hard.thats why i always say the rope a dope wouldn't have worked on him.because he was use to going 14-15 rounds.Ali's arms would have been to sore to lift up.he ko'd joe walcott for the title in the 15th round.walcott was winning rocky hit him one time in that round lights out.thats stamina

In my lifetime, my all-time favorite would be Roy Jones, Jr.

In the history of the sport, I would say Muhammad Ali. He has done and been through some amazing things in and out of the ring.

Wow favorite huh lets see i would have said Tyson for years but i think he pushed to hard after he lost control. Now i would have to say B-Hop he just is a warrior win lose or draw. Would love to see Calzaghe have fought him about 4 years ago think he wouldnt have left undefeated. But it is tough cant wait for Mayweather?Cotto match of the century if we ever get to see it!!

Marvin Hagler, this is a personal thing. He was a "lunchpail" kinda fighter. Came in hard, threw hard punches and wasn't afraid. And that freakin hand movement was so darn mesmerizing.

I don't know how to pick between Larry Holmes and Sugar Ray Leonard. Larry had one of the greatest heavyweight bouts ever, and Ray electricified the world of sports with his wins over Hearns and Hagler.
