Ok, my boyfriend is a boxer, he picking it back up again after several years. Well, when they announce his name, he wants the music playing to be "Bad to the Bone". It has some sentimental value (it was his dad’s intro song when he was a boxer). It’s just a really old song. He’s 17 and he wants a crowed starter. I just don't think that in 2006 "Bad to the Bone" is going to be a crowed getter. I think it should be "Because of you", NickelBack from there 'The Long Road' album, just without the vocals. He doesn't trust me on finding a new intro. What’s your opinion?

Really, the entrance music has to be a reflection of the fighter himself. It's part of psyching himself up for the fight so I say he should go with the song that has sentimental value for him.

I don't know who the audience is going to be, but since a lot of boxing fans are older than your generation, it's possible that they won't be as familiar with Nickelback and will actually react more to "Bad to the Bone." Let your boyfriend go ahead and use it. He can always try using a different song next time, but definitely make sure he's focused on the fight and not on the music.

I would play momma said knock you out by LL COOL J !

It definately has a boxing theme and might get him and the crowd going.

Tell yourself and your boyfriend this: who cares about pumping up the crowd with a popular song! it's all about if the song pumps him up. he's the one fighting, and if "bad to the bone" gets him going. then there you go.

How about 'let the bodies hit the floor' or some Static X music? It's so raw and angry, when i hear it, i am ready to fight, anyone, right then! It makes you feel rage! love it!

Try "I will be heard" by Hatebreed.
