before my answer..some highlights first based on what I personally knew..PACMAN is great fighter..no doubt about it..he surprised every one when he first stepped on the big mans ring..knocking out every great mexican fighters will all knew..
how hard PACMAN punch is..well..just review all the begging Manny Pacquiao did to have a second round fight on Marquez and Barrera..both boxers ran away from him (because they felt every punch of Pacquiao) until both fighters became to old to fight him back..now look who's begging PACMAN for a fight..Marquez and Barrera..not for the pride or for their country..but for the purse..
the only Mexican fighter I watched with all his bravery facing PACMAN is no other than the great Mexican fighter named Eric Morales..who is now a friend to PACMAN..you can see it on Morales face, the agony he felt everytime PACMAN lands his left punch on his body or his face..
even the enormous David Diaz who needs another 12 rounds (but of course it won't happen) just to get PACMAN down..
now it is Oscar Dela Hoya's turn to get richer and richer..I mean to prove he is the best fighter than PACMAN..
hey Oscar..with your size..even if you win and made Manny Pacquiao suffer..you have proven nothing..becasue you have to win..otherwise..should you lost..and even if you keep on saying that you feel you are at your greatest shape ever and can win hundreds of fight..I think..you must continue to hang your gloves (and retire and do matching and promotion instead of fighting) and enjoy your two beautiful kids and loving wife and let PACMAN enjoy his prime..
the eagerness of Dela Hoya to win is only to get even with PACMAN for not joining his stable..you see boxing fans..even Dela Hoya believes in the super powerpunch of Pacquiao..why..he even asked him to join his team..since he sees fortune out of this kid..
the question should have been for Dela Hoya..and something goes like this.."why should Oscar Dela Hoya prepared so much for a small fighter and is a non-title bout?..the answer could be..MONEY..and not MANNY..
Dela Hoya could have been more of a great fighter if he wins the last two title bout against the boxers who is even on his size..think about it..
Now for my answer..the biggest factor will be Manny Pacquiao's desires to be on the history of international boxing..quoting him saying.."beating Oscar will put my (Pacquiao) name in history until after 50 years"..Manny may lose this fight but his heart will be the champion for every boxing fan..big or small..for every new boxers dreaming of being another Pacquiao..not just for money but for greatness..
Yes..Pacquiao seems to win lottery everytime he fights..but the destiny pays him and not him asking for the destiny..I'm a boxing fan and I see no knockouts by Pacquiao until the last bell rang..Dela Hoya is a boxer not easily to be knocked down..he is tougher and bigger than those who have been knocked out by Pacquiao..the biggest so far is David Diaz who went down, but not because of the too much power on Manny's punch but more on the carelessness of Diaz exposing himself for that big punch..if Dela Hoya will be careful..he will remain standing even after the 12 rounds..
I see at the end of this fight, Pacquiao on the top of the rope..raising his hands..not because of winning the match..but rather thankful for staying on his feet after the fight..and proudly saying.."I survived God..thanks"..
and on the other end of the rope..looking at Dela Hoya on his winning moment..saying.."HAHAHA..I beat the smaller guy".."you next..GERRY PENALOSA"..
