nice and a great question, but i dont go for the term "overpaid", as to put it correctly - Floyd is, inside the ring - STILL the highest paid and competitively without an argue, still can command the biggest pay at this point in time...

factors are obvious that is making it so:

* his unchallenged record of: "41-0", that's what makes everybody crazy from promoters to agents, networks to venue owners - name it, as long as it is business-wise... of course his fanbase included and "us"...

(i am a Pacman fan by the way, and im describing the reality - to put it that way to be fair too with Pacman)...

* that "crave" thing, people around the world are dying to see him (1) defend more his "41-0" record; and, "us" Pacfans to see him get his first "1st" loss - not to Pacman alone - but to anybody out there who can upset him. This is a fact - many are still waiting to see him succumb to his first ever RECORD LOSS...

that, i suspect, is what makes FLOYD today's still the MARKETABLE-MOST boxer great, no doubt...

* SKILLS, the world has seen, to date his unpenetratable defense he possess, unless of course Pacman frustrates that great defensive mechanism of Floyd, thence it becomes VULNERABLE.

...or any other boxer out there, who can penetrate triumphantly that elusive defense Floyd has...

* ACTING AND SUCH OTHER PECULIAR down to earth things and attitude OFF THE RING... u might as well give this factor its importance and a good "count" - his continued attitude off the ring, in some way or another ADDS a GREAT "click" to his charisma - u just cant stop it - FLOYD IS FLOYD, as one puts it....

....i suppose, when he FINALLY THEN AND THERE, ULTIMATELY retires, HE GOES EITHER TO HOLLYWOOD, RECORDING COMPANY or to one of AMERICA'S MOST POPULAR TV COMEDY PROGRAM...

.... though i am a Pacman fan, i will admit - Floyd is still and can command that big slice of that purse at any match - as it is a fact, he is still undisputable at: ticket sales, ppv, and that thing that they say - "general excitement value" factor...

....unless therefore, pretty well SOON, someone will FINALLY CRUSH his "41-0" record to become vulnerable at "41-1", ....PROPHETICALLY, i could say, if that happens - FLOYD WILL ultimately RETIRE AT BOXING, with this - accept it or not - RECORD.

...as avoiding the most top contender besides anybody else, makes ur record, term "undefeated" and career with that shameful hook --- "?" - at anyway u look at it.

...might as well one factor why he is still saleable-most, that "hook" still clings on the line haunting him all the way, until he is ready and says: "get the Pacman now, man to man"...

...and, if that happens, FLOYD with PACMAN will solidify for years to come - boxing record for the all-time highest grossing match in the history...

...err, you might as well, count my money to that ppv thing!!

my piece, JUN KEPWENG JEDDAH....

Yeah he is way overpaid and overrated as a boxer. He is a great boxer but spends to much time running and won't fight pac man cos he only fights people he knows he can beat. Mayweather is no longer the best however he is a performer and he does a great job as a performer. He is a crowd pleaser not many boxers can say that. But still there is no need for a lot of what he does.

Boxers are not the same as they used to be back in the day when men were men.

All i know is that if Pacquiao observed this i'm specific he could have basically laughed or omitted it and then flow on. he's lots greater useful than that and could no longer slump right down to Floyd's point. His fists will do the conversing and optimistically Floyd gets the @ss whooping that he's been soliciting for.

Yes, he is overpaid...and...most definitely OVERRATED...!!!!!....

......

Mayweather jr. is still the biggest box office draw..only becasue he has been the #1 P4P PPV Drama Queen longer than anyone else...

However..

Since then..It appears that FMJ has been caught up and consumed by playing too much into his so-called "Villain Role"....FMJ became the "Product" of what he portrayed...

In another words...FMJ is either...Not a good actor and/or he is a "Pathological Liar"...

I say he is both...

Mayweather is the BEST in all categories!

You can call him a coward all you want but when Mayweather faced a vibrant De La Hoya and undefeated Hatton BEFORE Pac, he did way better PPV numbers. Hell, Pac vs JMM 1 & 2 combined didnt even do the same numbers that Mayweather/JMM did. And Floyd didnt even lose a round in that fight.

People pay to see the BEST . . . and it is clear who the people are paying to see.

Floyd Mayweather does NOT deserve what he is paid.

He is a little man with arrogance and childishness.

He will be defeated soon.

Yes, he is.
